Review :

The Economist is a British magazine, although widely available in the US, with an international scope. It features a wide variety of articles on finance, economics, politics and industry, and it covers these topics with insightful depth.

For example, while a typical news magazine may have a report about a new Russian politician, The Economist will look further, and try to see what the rise of this politician will mean.

The Economist also has some of the best articles on finance. Many of these articles are about the international banking and securities businesses, and they often translate important new laws or academic studies into laymen's terms. Articles are loaded with useful and cogent information and graphs. They're also written with a fair amount of wry humor.

Finally, all of the articles published in The Economist are anonymous. This helps to keep the focus on the article, and not on the author. It also allows leading industry experts to air their views without fear of retribution.
