About the Author

David Luhman has been running luhman.org since the firm's founding in 1993. Luhman.org was started while David was completing an MBA-Finance degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder. After finishing his MBA degree, David became an Enrolled Agent, and is able to practice before the IRS.

Before working on his MBA, David spent five years in Japan working for a Japanese trading company, an American computer maker, and a Japanese securities company. While living in Japan, he became fluent in Japanese, and served as the president of Tokyo's only Japanese-language Toastmaster's Club.

David has bachelor's degrees in aerospace engineering and journalism from CU-Boulder, and worked for NASA Johnson Space Center, IBM and Martin Marietta (now Lockheed Martin) before moving to Japan. He is an Eagle Scout, and was born in Indian Hills, Colorado.
